How do the landlords benefit?

The electricity supplied by the panels is offered at a price that is cheaper than standard utility rates charged by the grid. On average, the price is 10% cheaper, which makes this an attractive and simple option for the landlord.

All landlords sign a comprehensive legal agreement with Fedgroup's partner Emergent Energy to purchase all the electricity generated by the panels. 

What happens if the building is sold or tenants move?

  • Where the landlord changes, the solar lease still continues with the new landlord.
  • Where the building is vacant (no/fewer tenants), the energy demand will be minimal, which would influence the rental income earned by the panel.
